  • Honestly can we get off the who spent what when. We will continue to spend. We will continue to get sick. My issue is I would like to be able to purchase a fair affordable insurance plan and not have to be a middleclass PHD with a high income to be able to afford it.

  • NO. There are laws in effect right now that already address this issue. It is the reason that ILLEGAL immigrants do not want to go to the doctor. They can. They can pay for any treatment they like. But they would run the risk of being discovered and deported.

  • NHFishercat ID checking will not be mandatory, But when do you EVER go anywhere and sign up for insurance or go to a new doctor where you don't have to prove to THEM who you are. Of course SOMEONE will be checking your ID. Now there are people who forge IDs and paperwork.

  • It was not OK with me when someone threw a shoe at my President even if I disagreed with him. But in that country it was the way they express a certain disdain. Different issue though. This guy just plain lied.

  • Mirac-723368 I payed, so far, into FICA say $20,000 (you get a statement every year) if I retire or become disabled tomorrow then I would get Medicare. Suppose I have to have a heart transplant, God forbid, NOW. That one procedure alone would cost way more than what I paid into it.

  • Ms B You are right! Why would they. They wouldn't - because they (our government) is we THE PEOPLE and we wouldn't. Some people forget that we have ultimate control because our system has checks and balances. Granted it has made mistakes but it also grants us time to repair our own mistakes.
